RFP Released for 1-MW Community Solar + BESS in NW Wyoming
Energy Conservation Works and Lower Valley Energy released an RFP for a 1-MWAC Solar PV project and 1 MW/4 MWh Battery energy storage project in Northwest Wyoming.
Jackon, WY — July 19th, 2024 — Energy Conservation Works (ECW) and Lower Valley Energy (LVE) are excited to announce the release of an RFP seeking an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor to execute the scope of work necessary to deliver turn-key solar PV (Size of 1-MWAC) and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) (Size of 1 MW/4 MWh) projects. These projects will support Wyoming's first community solar program, owned and operated by LVE. A 7-acre parcel of land has already been contracted for these projects. The projects will be interconnected to LVE’s 12.47-kV distribution electric grid.
The solar plus storage project will generate and distribute the energy locally on LVE’s distribution system. This first project will power a first-of-its-kind in Wyoming community solar project, bringing both environmental and economic benefits to all LVE members.
The respondent may choose to bid on both the solar PV and BESS projects (preferable option) or just the solar PV project alone. Response deadline is August 30th, 2024. RFP documents and further information can be found at the Town of Jackson’s bid website here. RFP files are also attached to this post.
Please reach out to the Program Manager, Zach Isler, at [email protected] if you have further questions regarding the RFP.
